Goodbye 2013, HELLLLOOO 2014!!

An excellent past leading to an exciting future!

2013 was such a great year!
We welcomed Bomber as our newest addition to the clan. While it hasn't always been easy to adapt to having a former Military Working Dog around, we are happy he is protecting our laps from anything that might steel his spot.

Kaedyn earned his Orange belt. After only 6 classes of hard working, butt kicking action Kaed tested for and was awarded his orange belt in Tai Kwon Do. The board he is holding is the board he broke with a single side kick.

We said "Goodbye North Dakota!!"
After 3 years spent in the icy tundra we finally put it in our rearview. ND was great and we enjoyed learning to appreciate heaters in our cars and homes. We said goodbye to good friends but we look forward to the friendships we will this coming year.

Daddy left us for his own adventure but we will join him soon!

And a year just isn't complete without a trip to Utah's first annual COMIC CON!!

Hanging out with Spiderman was awesome.

Captain America was probably the highlight of the event for these kidos.

We were full up on Super Hero at this fun event so we went for a swim in Zombi brains.

And when trouble presented it's self in the evil villain Warlock, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman appeared to save the day! Sadly the kids were nowhere to be found...

2013 ended with a movie and game nigh and enough candy to get us to midnight but just barely.

This year was a great year filled with adventures and surprises. Stay tuned to 2014 where our adventures begin in Korea!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Ending the year with a little charity

For those of you who have the pleasure to know our Caisy Noelle, you know what a fiery little thing she is. You know how sassy and "matter-of-fact" she can be as well. You also know that she can be the sweetest, most caring little thing too. Well, today was a sweet moment for Miss Z.Z. Today, she decided to cut her hair quite a bit shorter than originally planned so she could have enough to donate.

When Caisy was asked if she would like to donate her hair today she was a little confused. She was then told how her hair can make a wig for a child who lost their hair due to a sickness much like her aunt Erica lost her hair from chemo. There was no hesitation after that. Caisy wanted to cut it shorter so she could give a little girl without hair some of hers.

No tears of remorse for her lost locks, just a humble little girl wanting to do something for someone else.

Kaed and ZZz birthdays

My oldest little guy just turned 9!!! It makes me sad to see him grow up so fast but I couldn't be more proud of that kid. He is so brilliant at times yet funny and witty as well. I know he will do amazing things one day. Then there is my beautiful princess, need i say more ;) Caisy is a young woman who knows how to get everything she wants and now that she is 7 she has one more year of experience in the books. I know the tardis is a little battered but what do you expect when making a cake while the power was out (for 5 hours) it tasted great though and while lala loopsi turned out so much better it doesn't mean I like either of them more. I appreciate all of their quirks and qualities and I love them both very much!

Winters hostage

It has been discovered Winter is holding Spring hostage. No ransom has been requested and authorities are at a loss for motive in this case. The trail has gone cold with no leads as to the where abouts of Spring. This unfortunate incident has effected so many and has caused a great deal of heart ache. Anyone with any leads or information as to returning spring please pursue and retrieve as soon as possible. When encountering Winter please use caution. It is a dangerous and unpredictable weather following a forecast of its own.

Introducing Bomber

Bomber is an explosive detection dog trained by the United States military for the U.S Air Force. He has been deployed to hostile locations and has been trained in aggression to subdue the bad guys. Bomber has lived his whole life as a vicious weapon protecting soldiers. A year ago Bomber suffered a heat injury and never recovered. He was medical retired as a working dog and allowed to be adopted by a military handler. So of course my husband decided it was a good idea to bring him home where are four children are. I was worried he might be aggressive towards the kids. Turns out he's a big softy who loves the kids. We have had Bomber for two months now and he has not once shown any signs of aggressiveness. So now its time to get our new child ready for an overseas move. Of to get a kennel and new treats and toys with the boys!!

Medical garbage

As part of the leaving the country process we all have to get medically cleared. Little miss ZZ Noelle has to have a super terrible procedure done today to check on her bladder and kidneys and she is just a little scared. Keep her in your prayers today.

We're ba'ack...

It's been almost three years since I last posted so it is time to start up again=)

We now live in Grand Forks, North Dakota. We are 30 minutes from Minnesota (the closest town too) and an hour from Winnepeg, Canada. It is insainly cold here and there is nothing but flat land for miles and miles and miles. It really isn't too bad though, and the kids have been liking it so far.

Some more picture

First food (if you can call it food)

little Lucas took one bite, his first bite, and then off to sleep he went
I guess he wasn't as excited about getting to eat cereal as I was to give
it to him
William had his first bite and he wasn't quite sure what to think of it. When he got one spoon full down I assumed he was ready for another. This is where he started wishing he had gone to sleep after the first bite too. He spit it out all down the front of him and started to cry.

DeJaVu

Here are the little guys, not so little at about 1 month old.

Lucas Samuel Thompson, on the left, born at 0716 on December 12th, 2008
His weight was 6lbs 8oz and he was 19 in.

William Joseph Thompson, on the right, born at 0734 on the 12th also (duh).
His weight was 6lbs 9oz and was also 19in.

Well it's only been six months but I figured it was long enough that I should write. Rocky came back in September safe and sound. In October we moved into our own house on base and went trick or treating at Grandma and Grandpas with all the cousins. November I was huge, misserable, and soooo ready to pop, but nothing happened. Then after Thanksgiving I was even bigger. Then finaly at 38 weeks and 2 days the boys were born on December 12th. January was full of sleepless nights and sleepless days and still continues. February was rough, we went to Indiana to see Rockys family. We drove with all four kids accross a bunch of states then stayed for two weeks and drove back over all thoes states again. It was an interesting trip to say the least. So here we are in March and I started my EMT-I training and got a job as an EMT at Lagoon, woohooo! Rocky is studying his a** off for his next rank of Tech Sgt. He tests at the end of the month. Kaed is doing awsome in gymnastics and will continue throughout the summer. He also starts Kindergarten next September. Caisy is still crazy. she's excited to start pre-school soon and is loving her new brothers.

Possibly related to Peter Parker?

I Knew I shouldn't have taken Jessicas' advice on that e-bay sperm. I may now have half radio active spider biten children. I can't believe some of the things these kids come up with.
These two pictures should be switched, but you get the idea of the whole spider monkey process.

Kaed is such a good big brother. He told her to wait while he climbed down and then with all his spidey strength he lifted his chunky little sister down so she didn't get hurt jumping down. He really does take good care of her and she loves when he plays with her.

What a couple spidey dorks.

Caisys' new boots

LOOK AT MY BOOTS!!!
and super cute tights aunt Jessi gave me

Caisy and I went to Old Navy yesterday and Caisy got some new boots.
She woke up early this morning and put them on and ran outside to play so I decided to take some pictures of the little cutie.

First Day Of Preschool

Today was Kaeds' first day of Preschool. He said he had lots of fun and he got to play hopscotch
and "I spy". He also colored a turtle. Sounds like a good first day to me. Caisy was sad she couldn't stay, she really wants to go school just like her big brother. Only one more year and she'll start preschool and Kaed will be in Kindergarten. I can't believe how big they are getting.

Just some extra info for everyone, I'm around 25 weeks now and both of the boys are still boys for sure. They are both very healthy and are moving and kicking like crazy. Daddy should be home in just another couple weeks, he is very excited and can't wait to come back. I recieved my EMT badge and license today so it's now official, I'm certified to save your life. Just hope I never have to. Caisy still wants a horse and asks if we can go feed the horses every morning. She'll come in my room with a 10lb diaper and some flip flops on and tell me it's time to go feed the horses. Kaed is actualy turning into a Transformer and won't sleep without one. Thats about it for the updates.
